Minutes of April AGM meeting at Red Lion Matlock Green on 19/4/2010

1) Roll Call: Present, Daniel Bailey, James Bailey, Sarah Bewley, Kev Marchant, Peter Bailey, Samia Taktak, Simonette Howard, Blaine Howard, , Ben Brown, Matt Paul, John Thornhill.

3) Treasurer’s Report: £51.25. Balance Sheet to be sent to Secretary and New Treasurer for 2010/11

4) Secretary’s Report;

The DVRA website is well and truly up and running, comments would be welcome on the site, i.e. feedback, and ideas are welcome. It is with disappointment that having sent a newsletter to several former members and referees who were looking to join that they cannot be bothered to acknowledge the e mail be it that they do not wish to join us. I had one response from a former member who will be very welcome.

5) Chairman’s Report:

We have had lots of positive feedback on our hosting of the five a side and quiz. County Committee were pleased with the good nature of the occasion and the night as a whole. Well Done All

On the society itself this year we had 19 members, we will defiantly lose several due to moving away from the area and retirement, so please encourage referees to join us the more the merrier. We need to be finding those newer referees who need help and guidance and encourage them to join a RA as well as the experience ones, I intend to bring this matter up at the next County Committee on this issue, from my observations a lot of newly qualified referees just go into games with just there parents for support.

Again I would like to thank everybody for making our society stronger and your continued support, also may I congratulate all that have done semi finals and finals in there relevant leagues, and to referees who have been involved in DCFA semi finals or finals, Well Done all.

I would like to thank Pam Leaning for representing DVRA in my absence at County Committee.

The Chairman and the society would like to thank Kevin Marchant for been the treasurer for a good few seasons now, Kevin has now decided to hand this job to another member for 2010/11, and we also wish him well for his up and coming tour of South America in the Autumn.

I also wish Andrew Broadley a speedy recovery from his recent operation and back to full fitness.

6) Round the Table:

Good feedback from all referees whom have done games from the last month, just one unsavoury incident from one of our referees whom was called a cheat and suffered verbal abuse, the secretary encourage the referee to report these kind of incidents to the relevant county FA as well as the league involved, and also talk to his officers within his society for reassurance, another referee whom found he had been given a wrong name for a caution was also encourage to report this to the county FA has he could be a banned player or illegible to play as well as the relevant league.

7) Election of officers

Officers elected for 2010/11 are:

The Chairman closed the meeting at 20.14 pm.
